Pez was one of the first people I met on my Induction Day at Ntl:Hell. He stood out like a sore thumb that day because he got distracted in the canteen watching Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and turned up 30 minutes late. That, I thought to myself, is just my kind of person!

To the untrained eye, Pez could be considered quite the catch. Though the wrong side of thirty now, he is fairly handsome (if you like kind of thing), generous, kind and hilarious. His is the picture you would find in the dictionary under the phrase 'life and soul'. He can also be excruciatingly embarrassing, crude, irratating as hell and honest to the point of rudeness. And these are the reasons I frikkin' love having his friendship!

He used to wind me up so tightly while I was working that I would always explode. He would always have a back-handed compliment along the lines of "Those trousers look good on you. From the knees down" and he was always, always chasing skirt. Think Benny Hill masquerading as a Super Star DJ and you have Pez.

Now he has a nice woman and I think last time I spoke to him that there is a chance he is going to propose to her. I can't wait. For all his nuances, he deserves happiness and she will be one lucky chick...
