Lost - Episode 13

*** PLOT SPOILER AHEAD ***

So I haven't blogged about LOST for a while now but the series is ticking along nicely - more off shirt action from Sawyer, Kate totally rocking everything 'cos she's so cool (If I were hankering after some girlie love action she'd be second choice, after Madge), a bit more Hurley comedy, Sayid absolutely smouldering up the screen (he's pipping Sawyer to the sexy post right now) and Jack just being all self-righteous and dare I say, pompous as the 'leader' of the group.

Well, last night we got a little insight into the Shannon/Boone story. Ew. They shagged before they left Sydney. They aren't really blood related or anything but still, come on you guys! Boone creeps me out to tell truth, yes he has the nice sparkly eyes but he's a bit well, spooky. Shannon is quite sweet really, but she was a super-bitch to Boone, tricking him out of his money and then clearly shagging him to shut him up - she knows he's in love with her, see.

So on the island, and John Locke and Boone have been 'hunting for boar' except they haven't really because really they've found some sort of an underground shelter thing, which they can't open. The other islanders are suspicious because they haven't been bringing any boare back with them and Boone wants to tell Shannon what they have found - so Locke bashes him over the head and ties him up - before he leaves Boone in the jungle, he rubs a weird conconction onto his head, spouting something about fighting infection.

Boone later hears screaming and, realising it's his beloved Shannon, breaks free and runs to her, they run off into the forest and hide from a mystery monster who tries to get them but doesn't succeed. They think they are ok and climb out from their hiding place only for Shannon to be dragged away, screaming. Boone later finds her bleeding and mauled in the river and she dies in his arms....

Back at camp it's safe to say he's not a happy bunny and he tries to attack Locke. Locke tells him Shannon is fine and sure enough, there she is all ok, flirting with Sayid by the camp fire (who can blame the girl? I'd be all over him like a rash, myself). Boone says it's impossible, she died in his arms. Locke says, cryptically: "Is that what you saw?" - Boone realises he's been drugged (that weird stuff Locke put on his head) - and then Locke says: "How did you feel when you thought she was dead?" and Boone replies: "Relieved. I felt relieved." Der der der!

This whole Locke thing is bothering me - he's clearly more of a mystery than we first thought - this 'theory' that he's a rich playboy who has engineered the whole crash for his own amusement? May not be so far-fetched afterall... My first thought though was that they had all died and this was their afterlife but again I really do not know.

In other jungle news - Charlie is still a little touchy after his ordeal, Hurley made a sort of peace with Jin when he stepped on a sea urchin, Sun accidently let slip to Kate that she can speak English, Michael got all misty eyed about a mystery box, Sawyer wasn't even in the episode last night which was very wrong (how am I to decide between him and Sayid if he can't even put in the effort?) and Claire is still missing. I miss her actually, I think she's great.

All in all, I am loving it!

They just started the second season here and we had like three new episodes and THEY'RE RUNNING RE-RUNS ALREADY!

That really pisses me off!

Glad you're still enjoying it!

(And I hadn't heard the rumor about Locke being a rich playboy who engineered the whole thing....hmmmmm.)
