There goes the neighbourhood

There's this little pathway that I cut down every morning and every evening on the way to and from work. Well, the other day I noticed a hu-uge pair of apple catcher-style pants (mint green if you were interested in the colour) lying bang in the middle of the path.

I stepped over them all dainty-like of course and went about my everyday business but in the back of my mind, it did occur to me that maybe they were evidence of a horrific sex crime or something? Should I call the police in case they were looking for them?

Every day I stepped over them (they were there over a week!), I cast my eye about the area for clues, a shallow grave with an arm sticking out, perhaps? Call me Sherlock.

Well, I've heard nothing about a sex crime in the area so I can only assume that an amourous middle-aged woman decided to have it off in the privacy of my pathway one evening after bingo with God knows who! Good on her!

But, does it say something about my mind, that it immediately wanders off thinking the very gory worst?

Perhaps I am a freak afterall!
