Bored of the Rings
Let's also take a moment to thank God that we don't have to sit through another Lord of the Rings movie this Christmas.
While I know about a million and one people out there who will disagree with me on that one, I have already wasted over 24 hours of my life with the orcs and the hobbits to know I never want to see one again. Ever.
(Even a bestubbled Viggo Mortensen couldn't ease my pain)
Technically perfect and wonderfully executed, I can't even put my finger on why the trilogy doesn't float my boat, but it just doesn't.

Now Peter Jackson has completed King Kong and I think I might have to kiss him. King Kong (1933) is one of the greatest films of all time, and certainly the one film I remember from childhood that really meant something to me. It still makes me bawl like I did the first time I saw it... *sniff*

Plus, Naomi Watts is in it, starring as Ann Darrow. She's brilliant I loved her in I Heart Huckabees. I just think King Kong looks fantastic and I hope it doesn't disappoint. I don't think it will though, I think if anyone can do it, Old Jacko can.

Also very very excited that he will also be taking the helm of the adaptation of The Lovely Bones, the story of a murdered 14 year old girl who recalls what happened, as she watches the affect the incident had on those left behind from Heaven.
That book is amazing!

Ah, see I'm so hot for Viggo I'd suffer thru Orcs and trolls and hobbits and just about anything else they threw at me...;)
I can't wait to see King King either (and yes, I'll probably bawl too!)
