Orlando

Rocker and I have had an Arthouse afternoon, drinking tea and watching Orlando, which we got free in the Sunday Telegraph, no less.

Orlando stars Tilda Swinton (her again!) as young Elizabethan courtier Orlando, who is commanded by queen Elizabeth I (the fantastic Quentin Crisp) to stay forever young.

Miraculously, he does just that although he changes sex in disgust at the behavior of men to end up as a modern day single-mother in this movie based on the Virginia Woolf novel.

It spans 400 years as the seemingly immortal Orlando experiences love, loss, death, sex, birth and motherhood - 1600 to modern day.

It's really bloody fantastic.

But I would say that 'cos Tilda's in it, and I am in love with her.
