Small World
My Mum's friend Wendy has a daughter, about my age, maybe younger. She's currently travelling the world and you can read about her adventures here:

The reason I mention this, other than I envy her because she's out there having a fabulous time, is that today she posted some pictures of a city in Australia called Wollongong. Specifically, she posted a picture of The Blow Hole, a place I know extremely well.
The reason I know this particular landmark well, is because my Australian boyfriend of about 5, nearly six years ago, took me there on one of our 'first dates'.
As the place is a landmark, but not exactly your obvious tourist trap like other parts of the country, I find it absolutely incredible that she is currently in Wollongong, and currently maybe a few miles from one of my most treasured places in the world!
I even mentioned the place in my post of November 9th in my 10 Favourites list:
Favorite Place: Bed. Or Amsterdam. Or a little beach called Kyama in Australia
(The Blowhole is just outside of Kyama)

I have mine somewhere; I must try and dig them out. Except mine are soiled by the Australian boyfriend, Phil and I feigning some sort of a relationship in front of the Blow Hole. How I wish now I had pushed him in.
He was so handsome. But such a dick.
Another story for another time, I feel.
