Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away

Yesterday I saw not one, but two abandoned shopping trolleys. Within probably half a mile radius of each other. A while back you got paid to take them back to the supermarket but I’m sure they have stopped that now. Otherwise I could’ve made myself a few bob.

I also saw Glinda yesterday and the day before, both times at around 5pm standing in the same spot with her trolley full of bags, full of badgers noses, or whatever it is she carries in there. She’s quite young I think maybe in her thirties. She has a completely different face to the one I expected her to have. Weird how that works sometimes.

I can’t believe it’s like, just three days until Christmas. It a cliché, but it really has just swung round too fast. I can still remember everything about last year, like it was yesterday. I can’t wait to go to Mum’s tomorrow night, after Rocker has finished up for the day we’ll be setting off with Princess Tippy Toes on my lap in the back (that’s Lucy Fur). She seems to enjoy car journeys. I just hope she settles in a strange house and doesn’t freak out, or else Santa won’t come and see her…

I pull this post out from 2004 from the 21st December, I evidently didn’t post on this day last year…

Yabba Dabba Do
Why hello.Got sneaky access to a pc - am writing this from sunny derbyshire - we're up picking up the little darlings for a Christmas full of Cheer and commercial excess. They are to be spoilt rotten, the little beasts.I have news on the work front - apparently there is a chance to stay an extra two months in the hellhole until March 31st - I am crazy and sick - and it may be wrong on so many levels - but I have volunteered to stick it out until then. I'm thinking just because it buys me two months grace from having to search for yet another soul-sucking job in yet another hellhole. I am sure, should they pick me as one of the 'lucky' few to stay, I will live to regret it!Quote of the week: "A koala can never be a flamingo" - Geri Halliwell.Rockstick has a new job too! Yey! So things might be looking up for the New Year! And a shout out to Boo - It was lovely seeing you - you rule the school!Peace love and a Merry Christmas one and all - I shall sign off safe in the knowledge that I am free for another two weeks and the sofa is all mine this Christmas! Try to move me I dare you!xx

So not much has changed since that post, I am still in a soul-sucking job (make that two) but I am on my way to building a portfolio and maybe looking at branching out in another direction, so I do have that to keep me warm at night.

I can’t believe I’m here and expected to work. It’s so unfair!
