Funereal Laughs

So yesterday was Nanny Worthing's funeral and thankfully it all went without a hitch. The service was lovely with her son making a speech about her life and the flowers were beautiful. If there was one thing that woman loved, besides people, it was flowers.
And friends and family came from far and wide to show their respects.
I will miss my friend so much. The lady was unique (a word bandied around much yesterday - but nontheless never a truer word was spoken) and from the moment I met her, she made me feel like part of the family.
Afterward, Rocker and I hosted the wake at our house and it's fair to say we gave the girl a good send off. If she'd been there she'd have loved every minute and throughout I could picture her sitting in the armchair lapping up all the attention.
I think she will be missed more than we know.
God bless, Nanny Worthing!

It's nice when you meet someone that makes you feel like part of the family and I'm sure you and Rocker will miss her.

I believe that, even in death, our loved ones are never far away. Does that makes sense? Probably not but it's how I feel.....
