How did I get here?
I quite literally do not know how I got to be working in an Accounts department. I can’t stand numbers. They frighten and bore me in equal measure.
I hate doing sums, I hate talking about invoices and I would chose poking myself in the eyes with a sharp pencil over have to have one more meeting about price querying.
I’m an artist don’t they know! I write stuff and have an over-active imagination. I should be doing something else. I’m an amateur computer geek and sex toy reviewer and I’m a would-be film critic.
I don’t want to do another thing today. I’m going on the Internet…

Wondy, you sound like you're in the same place I was about 15 years ago! I always hated math and I ended up being the bookkeeper for a construction company! I can't even balace my own friggin checkbook...much less three or four bank accounts of someone else!!! I thought "How the hell did this happen???"
Anyway, I'm away from the numbers now...but I'm still not too crazy about my job. It's just a job. Ugh.
I'm also lacking in the understanding. I've always been bad at addin' an' subtractin' yet somehow my job morphed to include various kinds of math. But it didn't take me long to figure out that the phone was not the calculator.
