Goof Troop
Thank Buddha it’s Thursday. Which means Friday is just around the corner, which means… yes… the weekend! Hurrah.
I am so unbelievably knackered this week; I’ve quite literally been worthy of a bit part in a George A. Romero. Hell, with the groans that come out of me when I have to get up, I could go for head Zombie, methinks!
Well life isn’t all flesh eating I suppose. I’m getting to the end of my sentence here at the airport, next Friday is my last day and I’m going out for a leaving lunch.
Our new FC (who everyone despises because he sweats all the time) is insistent that we go out, I have no idea why he is so obsessed with getting us all out socially.
Actually, I had a meeting with him the other afternoon and we had a proper geeky conversation. He told me he’d pre-ordered Serenity on DVD (that’s the kind of thing I do, pre-ordering – geek!) and how much he loves Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I had to be honest and admit I’ve never been a fan but that Joss Whedon is the man pegged to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen. He looked at me like I was the all-seeing Oracle then. Fellow geeks unite over their love of fantasy.
He he. Trust me to be the only one to appreciate her new boss, based solely on the fact that he’s as nerdish as she is!
All the other girls are gunning for him because he sweats and can be really patronising. I thought those were key managerial skills required!
I can’t wait for the weekend, Wondy Mum is coming over and I’m going to drag her out of the house and into town for nice coffee and perhaps a spot of window-shopping… the woman has a DVD addiction to rival even mine…
Love you Mum – can’t wait to see you!
