Easter Smeaster
I have just scoffed all my Easter eggs in one go and feel thoroughly sick and ashamed of myself. I'm sure I'll not be able to eat again this month.
Hope you have all been having a lovely Easter with your families and friends.
Well, Good Friday we all went to the Blue Reef Aquarium, which is Frazzle's favourite. When we almost decided not to go due to poor weather, poor Frazzle stamped her feet and sulked and sulked until our minds were promptly changed back.
I wondered if that magnitude of sulkiness could work for a 28-year-old?
Anywho, I secretly love these outings because they inject a healthy dose of Nostalgia into my life, and remind of a time that didn't revolve around being in debt, being tired and having worries.
You can just skip gayly about and coo "Look at that shark everyone!" and quote lame one-liners from early Spielberg movies - "We're gonna need a bigger boat!" - without really caring what you look like.
I love being a big kid. Frazzle is such good fun. She's like the smartest, funniest ten-year-old ever. She might be the only ten-year-old I actually know, but she is by far the coolest.
So we looked at some rays, some black reef sharks, some Angel fish and we were happy.
Wondy Mum came on Saturday evening, after we'd wasted the entire day loafing and larking about in our PJs. Should I be ashamed that I didn't get changed until Wondy Mum arrived at 5pm?
I was still feeling a little emotionally raw from my blubfest with King Kong, to tell the truth. I really can't talk about the film right now... *whimper*
Doctor Who was on and I'm surprised at how strong my sexy geek antennae shakes whenever David Tennant is onscreen - he's so Deluxe. Divine. Delish. Break me off a piece of that!
And today, Easter Sunday, we sort of chilled and ate a delicious roast dinner and watched Raiders of the Lost Ark. So a wonderful weekend has been had by all.
And tomorrow we will spend most of the day on the M25 and the M1 taking the children back to Derbyshire which is sad, but has to be done.
Oh the life of an evil stepmother...
