I've got the Power
Some crazy fool wants to buy our house! We got the offer this morning and Rocker, playing hard to get, said ‘Yes!’ straight away.
We are on our way…
I have to admit it is very exciting but a little scary as we intend to get rid of everything we’ve worked hard for – all our furniture, electrical equipment, the car – we’re starting again – whether it be as travelling nomads, Canadian citizens or something else altogether more sinister!
The only thing bothering me is Lucy Fur. She’ll be moving in with Wondy Mum until we can figure out where we’re going to settle. This weekend she has gone on protest in the garden, refusing to come into the house except for food – because the kids are staying for the week and she doesn’t like it. She wants all the attention for herself.
I swear, she slept outside in the rain and the cold all night in protest. She’s a one-woman crusade.
Silly bitch.
Work’s not so bad now ‘The Boys’ are here. It certainly breaks up the monotony and the bitchiness. The Oestrogen bubble was threatening to burst just before they arrived so I am thankful they are here. I can’t be doing with the politics of a gaggle of over-the-hill hags battling for supremacy over the others. So you’re been here for 22 years? Time to more over and let some young blood in, Grandma!
We watched a couple of movies this weekend before the kids arrived. Saw II and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I enjoyed them both. Saw 2 mostly from behind my fingers, but I enjoyed it all the same. Pretty grisly stuff but clever. I guessed the end though – ‘cos I’m dead smart like that. Or else I’m just a sick twisted pup like the Director, which let’s face it is more likely.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose was good, pretty creepy stuff. I do believe in angels and demons so it is fascinating from that perspective. Also that they based the film on a true story – and felt they wanted to tell the poor girl’s story.
I love the theory of angels walking the earth and we don’t even know it, a la Himmel über Berlin, Der (Wings of Desire) which is the film that City of Angels was based on. Even Constantine touches upon the halflings – part human, part angel or demon. Love it, love it.
One day I will have my wings!
I have to apologise for the lack of anything substantial being written this past week or so. I have been exhausted and getting more and more pissed off with working so hard for so little reward. I was getting a bit peeved with having to paint on a happy face and be positive all the time when all around me was turning to shit – but as a Sagittarius I know Supreme Optimism is my cross to bear – and it’s all good now!
So the Old Wondy will be back soon.
Somebody stop me!
Power to the people.

Nothing substantial?? What bs is that! No matter what you post, it's pretty substantial in my book! :)
I'm kinda scared to watch "Emily Rose"....I know when I watched "The Exorcist", it scared me so bad, I had nightmares (and not the good kind either!) :)
Congrats on selling your place....I'm glad for you and Rocker but a bit envious! You're beginning a whole new adventure!!! :)
Im really excited for you selling your house.I know it is scary when you sell everything i know i did it.You end up one day stood at an airport with a suitcase thinking what have i done. But its worth it.You can always buy more things.Adventure comes along not that often.
SAW 2 and Emily Rose were on my weekend watch list too. That's just freaky!
I enjoyed them and also enjoy the movies that dabble in the angels on earth concept. A little cheesier but also quite watchable (even if only for Christopher Walken) are the Prophecy movies.
As for your stuff.....it's only stuff. The really hard part isn't getting more, but learning to let the old stuff go. We put far too much stock in owning things instead of being someone. Congratulations on taking the first step.
whats happening to the snakes? are you taking them with you?
How exciting! I can't wait to see what you do with your new-found freedom! Britain will miss you tho... x
