Hard Candy
I've finally borrowed Brokeback Mountain on DVD and yes, I am aware I must be one of the three people in the world who still haven't seen it. To be honest, I'm kind of dreading it.
I like Ang Lee but he's sometimes a little bit, well, long-winded and I know the reward for enduring such a slow plot is going to getting to watch two pretty boys get it awn but neither of them do it for me, if I'm perfectly honest.
Give me Philip Seymour Hoffman any day. Or even Jay and Silent Bob! That would be an entirely different movie altogether, can you imagine?
I really really want to see that new film Hard Candy about the 14-year-old who meets the photographer on the internet? It looks mad - I love movies like that. The reviews have been pretty good so far but they say a film like this would thrive better in an Arthouse style cinema house rather than the Multiplex, because it'll probably be too much for British audiences.
Bloody typical, but I can see what they are saying. The Brits are p*ssies!
Just realised that I haven't been to the pictures since Munich. And that was before the Oscars! Must get myself back into circulation! I'm thinking Superman Returns with my good friend Shocking Fish might be just what I need to break this dry spell...

Ew
I wonder who decides what we might might find offending to watch.
May I recommend this one to warm you up to movie watching again?
