They're In Fashion

I'd really rather like to go and live in Finland where the fashion is off the wall and kooky and delirious and abstract and just plain bonkers. As illustrated by the divine Conversations about Fashion who recently featured this wonderful fashion cornucopia* in all it's glory.

These are my new heroes:

* How terrific is the word 'cornucopia'? Even more terrific are the dictionary definitions:

  1. A goat's horn overflowing with fruit, flowers, and grain, signifying prosperity. Also called horn of plenty.
  2. Greek Mythology. The horn of the goat that suckled Zeus, which broke off and became filled with fruit. In folklore, it became full of whatever its owner desired.
  3. A cone-shaped ornament or receptacle.
  4. An overflowing store; an abundance: a cornucopia of employment opportunities.

So yeah, maybe I'll go live in Finland, any thoughts?

I don't love all of this, but I do love people who are so comfortable in their skin that they can wear this sort of thing. I am terrified about my semester in London because I have no fashion sense whatsoever, and I hate the idea of looking like a terrible tourist for an entire semester. I want to look sleek and fabulous so I fit in!

All you can be is yourself Darling, but I'm sure you'll have no problem fitting in. Especially somewhere like London. Do not worry!
