Don't Tell Me Not to Fly, I Simply Gotta
Ugh. If I ever see another application form again it will be too soon. I have printed out an entire rainforest in paper and read every single page seven times.
As a result I am now rocking a rather confused/boss-eyed look.
Next is the fun bit, getting all the evidence together that a) Rocker and I are actually a couple and have been for the four years we claim to have been together and b) that we actually do intend to re-establish ourselves as serious Canadian residents, and not some dodgy characters who simply want to sit on their asses and reap all the benefits of Canadian life... without lifting a finger.
Try to get away with having to work? Me? Never...
I want to go back to bed, it's cold, windy and pissing down outside.
Last night I finished Lunar Park, and it was excellent, I've got to tell you. Bret Easton Ellis seems like a total ass and this book seems to be autobiographical shot through with fiction, and so you never really know what is true and what is not - but the guy is very talented. He's a literary genius, much as it pains me. Which I guess is why he gets away with being such a dick.
Anyway, I really recommend it. It has intrigue, suspense, terror, humour - everything a book needs.
Next book is Enter Night by promising new talent Heather Hurd!
FYI: The book is now available for purchase - Heather is brilliant and she's well worth a read, whether you stop by her blog, Yummy Sushi Pajamas or buy the book, don't miss out!

YAY! I can't wait!
By the way, good luck with the whole process. I know paperwork can be an absolute nightmare.
Thanks babe, I'm sure it'll turn out fine. Whatever is meant to be and all that!
Oh man! Just what I needed.......another book to read. I'll make a hole on my shelf and find a copy a home.
Good man, Rainy - we gotta support eachother, right?
'Cos no-one else will!
