Make Me Up Before You Go-Go

Wonderful discovery of the week is the new range of MAC-esque eyeshadows by 17 @ Boots the Chemist. They come in cute little pots and great colour - 2 for £5!

So now I own 4 and no way am I ready to stop...

I love make-up so much. It's my old friend. And almost definitely my longest relationship so far. I guess we met when I was about twelve and have been together ever since.

This is why I can never walk past MAC Cosmetics without taking a peak inside. There was a time when the staff there saw me coming and would wheel out all the newest products for my delectation. (All that changed after an awkward bumping into one of those girls at the 'clinic' - erm, yeah).

And anyway, a girl has to at least try and live within her means, and my days of shopping there are numbered, at least for now.

So how great to have something similar for a tenth of the MAC price tag right in front of my nose! Granted, the colours aren't as vivid and the packaging ain't quite in the same league but you've got to give snaps to Britain's favourite beauty superstore for trying.

And if I ever win the lottery, or a faceless benefactor decides to bequeath me £950, I want to go and learn some tricks at the Jemma Kidd Makeup School, it's meant to be great and I'd be an excellent make-up artist.

Models would love me 'cos I'm cuddly and I could entertain them with jokes about penguins.
