Me You and Everyone We Know

I must recommend the movie Me and You and Everyone We Know, I watched it today and it's absolutely wonderful.

I can't think of anything about it that I didn't enjoy, except perhaps the fact that it had to end.

It literally has everything: humour, tragedy, oddball characters - it's the perfect little indie film.

It's about a lonely shoe salesman and an eccentric performance artist struggling to connect, whilst he copes with the breakdown of his marriage and bringing up his two sons.

Miranda July wrote, directed and starred in the film and it feels almost like a piece of art that the main heroine, Christine might produce.

I love that each character has their own foible, like the young girl who collects electrical appliances to store in her 'hope chest'.

Just when I thought I was about to drown in a swamp of chick flicks, a really decent movie like this comes along. See it, I can't recommend it enough.
