One Day In History

Here was mine - a little lacklustre I'm afraid, but truthful:
I woke this morning at ten, which is a real luxury at the moment as I don't have to be at work and don't have to be anywhere too pressing. I left my boyfriend to sleep as he has been suffering from insomnia lately and needs the sleep in the mornings.
I tiptoed downstairs for breakfast (dutch crispbakes and cheddar cheese, cup of Earl Grey) and spent two solid hours blogging. Then I woke boyfriend and packed the rest of my enormous rucksack as today we are visiting family and I can't travel light. On Saturday we also fly to Berlin so I've packed almost everything I own.
Spent half an hour saying goodbye to the cat, who refused to look me in the eye or even acknowledge me. She senses when I am going away and hates me then. At least she now knows I will come back for her, as I have been coming and going for almost two months. She will have to get used to it when we go to Thailand as we'll be gone for six weeks then.
We packed up the car at 13.30pm, went to the shop for cigarettes and a Mars Bar and hit the road. Getting used to living by the seat of my pants and actually enjoying unemployment, though technically it's called being on 'sabbatical'.
Arrived ay Aunty V's just after half past three and am ready for a few relaxing days eating, drinking coffee, watching the soaps and gossiping about disfunctional family members, before we're off again.
To me, bliss.
