Mangroves
This morning we awoke fairly early to frolick amoung the mangroves on a beach we think was Haad Tao. Wherever it was it was very picturesque and I got some fairly good shots on my Point&Click.
I am starting to come around to the idea of buying myself a much better camera so that I can be a happy amateur snapper, I don't think I have an eye like some people I know, but I'm not awful and I enjoy it. I'm guessing the enjoyment is the most important thing.
Before we even left our resort we witnessed a minor moped accident where this girl came off her bike and skidded across the road. We stopped the jeep to help and when I got over to where she was standing she burst into tears and had blood running all down her legs. Poor girl.
So we patched her up with Rocker's trusty first aid kit and her boyfriend came over and said "Don't worry the bike's fine". The bike's fine?! What about your girlfriend?
I really felt for her as she kept saying, over and over, "I didn't even want to". I think they are Argentinian as we saw them in the bar last night. She gave me a hug and thanked us for being so nice after we dropped her back to her bungalow in the jeep. I hope I see her again to see that she is ok.
Just call me Miss Fix-it! Can you imagine an island service where I drive around patching girls knees and listening to brokenhearted boys? I could become a local celebrity of sorts!
Anyway, beautiful day it is here, very very hot and gorgeous and I'm going to get my bikini and sarong on and get down to that beach before I waste any more of the day!
Have funny stories to tell you about the locals very soon.
