Last Night A DJ Saved My Life

My new ambition is to become a Radio 2 DJ. Perhaps I could co-host a little show with sexual sausage Russell Brand? I do think I’d enjoy that job and I’m sure I can banter with the best of them.

This is all part of my plan to reinvent my career when I’m finally settled down again, wherever I may be. Ok, so Radio 2 probably aren’t going to call and beg me to come and play with them – but I have to think about what is going to make me happy.

Sure, I can go straight back into office work, which I don’t absolutely hate, because you can steal stationary and abuse the internet there but wouldn’t it be lovely to rise in the morning with a smile on one’s face, just dying to get to work?

So I’m short listing the things I want to do when I get to Canada and so far all I have is Writer, DJ or Comic Book Owner.

Ha. I wonder what I will actually end up doing! Watch this space.

In other news, today was the funeral of Rocker’s Grandfather. It went well. He was very well respected in the Zoology world, and so lots of people turned up to pay their respects.

I, for one, will miss him. He was an interesting man.

And no, this time I didn’t let my imagination run away from me and there were no dance routines featured in the ceremony.

There was, however, a man there with the most amazing Salvador Dali moustache and the funeral car driver looked like Justin Timberlake.

I can’t have a day without a little surrealism featured, thank God.
