No Rock The Kasbah

Due to a sadness in the family (said Soprano style), we will not be going to Morocco next week.

Unfortunately, Rocker lost his Grandfather on Saturday night and so there is lots to do over the next few weeks - and Morocco will have to wait.

To be honest with you, it hasn't even occurred to me to be disappointed yet. Marrakech will always be there (hopefully) and it will be there in two months, ten months or ten years time - I'm not bothered.

Sure, it would be nice to go - but some things are more important - and these things are sent to test our mettle - so we'll just have to get through this and think ourselves lucky we still have a life to look forward to.

In other news, our plans for Thailand in three months time are still going, as is the visa for Canada, which has proved nightmarish to say the least, but slowly and surely we are getting there.

And I can't wait.

So sorry to hear of the loss. It's never easy to lose someone. Make sure you give Rocker a hug for no apparent reason as he'll need a few to get through it all.

As for Morocco, bravo for you. It's never easy to make the right choice and you are indeed right. It's been around an extremely long time and odds are it'll be here for a while yet.
