The New Bond

There's a website devoted entirely to slagging off Daniel Craig as the New Bond and those nasty little purists are talking of boycotting the new 'Casino Royale' even before it's been made.

I think we need to hold up a minute and give the guy a chance.

Hey, I'm the most opinionated person there is when it comes to rip-offs and Casino Royale is still one of the most hilarious spoofs ever. It has Woody Allen in it for God's sake! To remake it is a bold move and could be wrong but how the hell will we know?

Daniel Craig isn't exactly my cup of tea but he's not too damn shabby at this acting marlarkey. He was good in Road to Perdition, The Mother and Layer Cake. I've just seen him in Munich.

There are worse actors out there! Keanu Reeves for a start! Keira Knightley! (I don't think either of these two were in the running, but a female wooden Bond? There's an angle...)

I feel sorry for DC (which I'm sure he appreciates) and I want him to know I won't judge.

Until I've at least seen him in the film. Then he's fair game...

Anyway, I'm a fully paid up member of Team Brosnan, so it'll be tough to fill those shoes.
