Losing my religion

Don't freak out on me here either but lately (in my old age) I've been thinking about religion or more specifically, spirituality. I might start reading up on some different religions and see if any of them will work for me.

Not Christianity, no siree - nothing like that - no offence to any Christian readers I might have (each to their own) - but I can't get my head around half the things they find to believe in, all the things they say you can and can't do. I want to be free but open to new ideas.

I know heaven exists because I saw it once in a dream. My dad came to visit me when I was a child so I know he's ok where he is. But I look at my mother with her Buddhist teachings and it makes sense to believe.

I don't believe in a religion that encourages you to be scared or encourages you to only have faith in it, but not in yourself. I'm thinking more along the lines of spiritual enhancement.

Am I speaking in tongues?

Yeah prolly.

Ooh, someone though I was 22 today. I nearly kissed them there and then.

*sigh*

Maybe I should just get my Japanese Culture book out and relearn all the customs. I think I was meant to be born either a gay man or a Japanese person.

Damn this being trapped in the wrong body malarkey!

I am right there with you! I was raised a Baptist but I have ALWAYS had conflicting feelings about it (much to my mom's dismay).

I have question after question. I believe in karma...I think we may come back....and all that makes my mom just shake her head at me.

Makes me crazy sometimes.

Nothing wrong with religion.I think we all look for deeper meaning in life as we get older.

You should look into Wicca. The spiritual belief is essentially, that the power of thought can manifest in your life. You light a candle, burn some incense and think of let's say....success....then, your chances for success are increased because you are thinking of being succesful.

It's not just pentigrams and nudity...it's very nature based, similar to the celtic religion.

PLUS....witches don't believe in SIN!

That's just an added bonus. :)
