What a difference a day makes

Ah back into Barbarella Land I go, careful to dodge the bitching babies and the dumb angels and the Orgasmatron... ooh, why would I want to avoid that! Anyway, you get my drift, it's back to work and easier to deal with and describe to you in a fantasy movie context.

Perhaps Flash Gordon is a better tool for description? Ming the Merciless representative of 'The Man' in general?

I've just committed myself to more working hours this week and possibly a voluntary stint on Saturday. Am I sick? I just need the money so bad, and not to fund my sparkly shoe habit. Quite literally to stay afloat.

Hmpf.

If these were Dickensian times it would be only a matter of time before a 'mystery benefactor' came to leave me some money...

I must apologise to my brother who asked me to do something a week ago and I have yet to devote enough time to what he asked me to do.

Not wanting to get too serious on yo' asses but he asked me to get involved in raising awareness about a website called Invisible Children which contains a film documenting the Ugandan War and the reported exploitation of the nation's children, it's very harrowing, sad stuff but it needs to be seen.

These kids go through things our children couldn't even imagine.

So Tim asked me to try and raise awareness via the power of blogging, whilst he waits for a response from Invisible Children, hopefully letting us know how we can get more involved here in the UK. If anyone else feels strongly about this at all, then please say so and we will see what we can do together.

As Tim's housemate put it: ''if you think that you are too small to make a difference then you've never been been to bed with a mosquito!"

More on this subject shortly, in the meantime you can read more here.
