Vernon Gregory Little
There is a little second hand book stall on the Khao San Road which is pretty cool. So far I just got Vernon God Little by DBC Pierre.
Did you know Pierre was almost forty by the time he got VGL published?
I figure that gives me about ten years to pull something out of the hat! Sure, it would nice to be a celebrated writer by the age of thirty but as I'm 29 in three weeks time, I'm cutting it a bit fine. Plus all I have is a notebook and a head full of little snippets of something that could be good, but certainly not a full on premise for something anybody would want to read.
Sure, Pierre had plied his trade up to that point as a designer, filmmaker and cartoonist and I'm still just a bum with hardly any qualifications (hey, all I got is my charm, baby - but I got it in buckets!), but still. Pierre did spend his time travelling around too.
I guess it just shows you should live a little first, before you can put all that experience into words and construct something great.
One day, my friends, one day - I'm never giving up on this dream.

Success will never find those that have given up hope. So long as you give it your all you can never regret the possibilities.
Travel the globe and compile your thoughts......I can't wait to see what gem emerges from the aftermath.
