The Uberlist 2007

Here we are nearly two weeks into the New Year already and I haven’t even posted the definitive list yet!

I wrote this about a week ago:

Like all the best stuff, I have stolen this from Heather – the Uberlist 2007. (It’s like the resolutions list before, but more fancy like, and broken into categories…).

Yes, I know – another resolutions list? As if I’ll stick to any of it.

But to all the doubters out there: Read it and weep.

I’m determined to achieve as much of these as I can.

PERSONAL

Stop stealing blog fodder from Heather when I’m too lazy or too rushed to write a proper post of my own.
Read more – at least one title a week. And explore more obscure writers.
Carry on enjoying photography and learn more about the technics.
Write more – short stories, essays, piles and piles of crap – just anything that takes my fancy.
Be unapologetic about my feisty nature – I am what I am and I will not calm down!

HEALTH & BEAUTY

Walk more.
Snack less and eat more salads/fruit.
Do a weekly deep conditioning treatment on my hair and a regular face pack.
Regular manicure and pedicure (DIY).
Take vitamins.
Stop believing the adverts – I can live without new green eye shadow and panty peptides in shampoo.

WORK

Work hard as a temp between trips.
Gain as much experience and meet as many interesting people as possible, whilst doing so.
Contact local paper/publications with sample of writing to see if they will give me something to do voluntarily.
Update CV and check out Canadian job market in preparation for our move (possibly July/August, visa depending).

FRIENDSHIPS

Make more of an effort in seeing friends, update email addresses, numbers, etc.
Stop bothering with the people, who never respond to my emails, I haven’t got the time or energy to beat myself up about them.
Write to Rong and Mr Ood in Thailand.
Not allow myself to be hurt any longer by the people who don’t believe in me or care to learn more about me as a person.

HOME

Dispose of the items I really do not need any longer and put things I can get a few quid for onto eBay.
Set up an eBay seller’s account.
Throw away any clothes I no longer wear or fit into.

MONEY

Save money for Thailand trip in March/April. We are hoping to return for three months this time and I cannot frickin’ wait!
No shopping – I do not need material possessions.
Earn as much money as I can and work as much as possible between trips.

OTHER

Be more creative with my hands.

So there it is. 2007 could well be my busiest year yet – here’s hoping!
